2008 CAMPAIGN COMMUNITY LUNCHEON
|
|
With UIA Vic Chairman, Esther Frenkiel acting as MC, our annual Campaign Community Luncheon
was held at the Brighton International Receptions featuring Guest Speakers, Elena Ralph and
Colonel Shai Beloosesky.
A former Miss Israel pageant winner, Elena told her story of a new Ola from the Ukraine
coming to Israel alone as a 17 years old. Colonel Beloosesky brought a message from the IDF
with some added Yiddish humour.
Dr Bernard Herman (left)was presented with a certificate in recognition of his outstanding
voluntary contribution on behalf of the State of Israel and the Jewish Community.
He also received a special presentation from the IDF presented to him by Colonel Beloosesky.

This very successful luncheon concluded with the guests being entertained by the Tel Aviv
Scouts, a special youth group who enthralled the audience with
their singing and dancing.

An endowment is a permanent standing fund whose generated income is
regularly allocated to programmes and projects supported by Keren Hayesod.
