2008 APPEAL
CAMPAIGN OPENING GALA DINNER
Celebrating the State of Israel's 60th birthday, over 1,220 guests
participated in the 2008 UIA Victoria Campaign Opening Dinner held at
the Palladium Ballroom in Melbourne.
Special Guest Speakers were the Prime Minister of Australia, the
Hon.Kevin Rudd and the Israeli Minister of Welfare and Social Services,
Minister of the Diaspora, Society, and Fight Against Antisemitism,
Mr Isaac Herzog MK. Entertainment was provided by the Israel Defence
Force Entertainment Troupe.

2008 APPEAL
WOMENS DIVISION OPENING BREAKFAST
Over 600 ladies attended our 2008 Appeal opening function at Carousel to hear
guest speakers, Elana Ralph and Colonel Shai Beloosesky.
The morning also included a special tribute to Roslyn Smorgon z"l,
recognising her many years of dedication to the Women's Division.
