2011 Women’s Division Breakfast

 The 2011 Women’s Division Campaign Launch breakfast was held on Wednesday 2nd March with 430 women attending at the International of Brighton.  “How do I Support Israel?” was the theme of the event, and the title of a specially created video which featured the thoughts and feelings of Melbourne’s Jewish women and children about Israel. The footage, which was both uplifting and moving, set the tone for a positive and inspiring event.

Keren Hayesod – UIA’s fire response – The Aftermath

As the fire and smoke subside, and the magnitude of the damages of the fire on Mt. Carmel become apparent, Keren Hayesod–UIA, is now galvanizing support for the long term reconstruction. At two special meetings – one held in the Knesset at a Parliamentary Committee, and one held at the Prime Minister's Office – Keren Hayesod has been asked to call on the Jewish World to stand with Israel in facing the consequences of this unprecedented natural disaster.

Carmel Fire Victims Enjoy Day of Fun at Amusement Park

Nearly 2,000 children and their parents from Tirat Hacarmel, the Haifa city bordering the Carmel forest where Israel’s largest and most devastating forest fire in Israel’s history recently occurred, spent a day of fun at a Tel Aviv amusement park.

2010 Annual General Meeting

UIA Victoria has had another successful campaign in 2010 which was reflected in the results presented at the AGM held on 25 November, attracting over 150 guests. It was announced at the event that $35.9 million was raised in Australia, with 41% ($14.8M) of these funds raised by the Victorian campaign.
