Celebrating the State of Israel's 60th birthday, over 1,220 guests
participated in the 2008 UIA Victoria Campaign Opening Dinner held
at the Palladium Ballroom in Melbourne.
Special Guest Speakers were the Prime Minister of Australia, the
Hon.
Kevin Rudd and the Israeli Minister of Welfare and Social Services,
Minister
of the Diaspora, Society, and Fight Against Antisemitism,
Mr Isaac Herzog MK. Entertainment was provided by the Israel Defence
Force Entertainment Troupe.
