Shittim School Delegation Visits Melbourne

The Partnership 2Gether program aims to deepen reciprocal relations between the two communities in Australia and the Central Arava Region.

At the forefront of this program is the annual delegation of Year 10 students from the Shittim School in the Arava. Students were hosted by Bialik College families for a week in Melbourne last month which was preceded by a week in Sydney.

An important part of this visit is the interaction with students from the Jewish Day Schools.

Another objective was to expose the students to a variety of educational and social experiences as well as the many expressions of Jewish life and thought in our community. Highlights include a welcome brunch hosted at the home of Nicky and Peter Worth and a beautiful Kabbalat Shabbat Service conducted at the home of Rabbi Schnuer Waks. This was followed by a wonderful dinner.

We have had wonderful feedback  from all students, parents and staff involved.
